Job Description

• Assistant Property Manager (Assistant Community Manager) for Cranbrook Forest, a 261-unit apartment community in the Champions / FM 1960 area of North Houston (77014). Pay: $24 to $29 per hour depending on experience, plus performance bonus opportunities.
• This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish.
• This is the role that keeps a community running — and the seat that grooms you to run one. You'll be the Community Manager's right hand, and the person residents and owners count on when something actually needs to get done.
• What you'll own:
• • Rent collections and delinquency — you keep the money coming in on time and chase what's late.
• • Lease renewals — you get ahead of expirations and give residents reasons to stay.
• • Day-to-day operations: leasing support, resident relations, and coordinating maintenance so nothing slips.
• • Lease administration — clean records, accurate files, contracts handled.
• • Compliance you don't cut corners on — Fair Housing and Section 8 guidelines, every time.
• • Tours and upsell when traffic comes in, and calm, professional conflict resolution when it doesn't go smoothly.
• You'll fit if you're organized, unflappable on a busy day, and you genuinely care about the resident experience — and you want a clear path to Community Manager, not just a job.
• What you'll need:
• • Fluent in both English and Spanish. This is required for this community — you will use both every day.
• • 2+ years of on-site multifamily experience as an Assistant Community Manager, Assistant Property Manager, or Leasing Manager. Also required — on-site apartment experience, not commercial, not HOA, not residential real estate sales.
• • Rent collection and delinquency experience you can speak to specifically.
• • Working knowledge of Fair Housing and Texas landlord-tenant basics. Section 8 familiarity is a plus.
• • Hands-on with property management software — ResMan is a plus; Yardi, OneSite and Entrata all transfer.
• • Solid customer service and record-keeping habits.
• • A reliable daily commute to North Houston (77014). This role is on-site, not hybrid or remote.
